Our family has been in the Hood River Valley for six generations with active farming for five of those, specializing in sustainably grown fruit.
Established in 1901 by Walter Wells, our family farm started as a small apple and pear orchard, selling fruit and cider to the local community, and has expanded today to more than 500 acres. We pack and ship our own fruit under the Viewmont Orchards label and are pleased to share our bounty with you at Pearl's Place Fruit Stand!
"We came across Pearl's Place, a fruit stand, on the way to see Mt. Hood. When we stopped, the first thing that we saw were the Rainier cherries, and for half the price we pay for them in Dallas! We were in absolute heaven. A pound and a half of three different types of cherries later, we were absolutely thrilled... and we snacked on them the rest of the afternoon."
